221, at the Rutherford/McDowell county line,
halfway between Rutherford and Marion, North
Carolina.
Thermal City Gold Mine is easy to find.
From the Rutherfordton/Marion exit (#85) on
I-40, go south toward Rutherfordton for
about 8.5 miles and look for the sign on the
left. Follow the signs to the mine!
